The flower is a tall - 3 to 4 ft - stalk-type flower, blooms only at the crown, muted dusty pink. Very numerous at this location - apparently the dominant flower at the moment in this wooded area, in the partial shade of the tall trees (the Nature Trail by Danada Equestrian Center.) You don't see this flower in the open prairie part of the preserve.
