Species that I am unfamiliar with. Description: this plant has small, dark green leaves which have small teeth. On some branches grow flowers. These were not unfolded when I took the picture. Instead there were small, light green ovary's with their stigma.

Species that I am unfamiliar with. Description: this tree stood next to the library. It's leaves are a dark green, are oval-shaped, ending in a sharp point, and they have small teeth. The fruit on this tree is about the size of a big grape and has a pink/red color.

Species that I am unfamiliar with. Description: the branches of this tree grow near the ground/over the ground. The plant is not exactly needle-leaved, but definitely not broad-leaves. The leaves have a dark green color. The branches grow away from each other.

Greater Burdock (Arctium lappa)Observer

I found this plant near the Environmental Center. It was on a lawn and surrounded by green: other plants, flowers, trees. The spikes on the flower of this plant told me that this was a burdock. I tried to determine whether this was the greater or the lesser burdock by comparing pictures of both species. I found it very hard to distinguish them and I could not decide with certainty which species it was.
