These were producing in mass in a Douglas fir forest around the chinquapin trees. There were also "yellow-foot" winter chanterelle nearby as well. Growing in the duff.

This yellow crust fungi was growing on this log. The hymenium surface was pored and creamy yellow. The mycelium was changing the wood color to yellow.

Description

Found this gorgeous stand with large shelf polypores growing on it. The stand also had a large flush of Tricaptum abietinus on it as well. In a mixed Douglas fir forest.

Found the slime dripping off this young Amanita in the duff. The volva was gray and stuck in the ground.

This was the most stunning patch of red cortinarius, I have ever come across. The cap gills and stipe were all this wonderful red color.

Description

Found this flush of braket-like fungi growing on a decaying log. This looked like brown turkey tail from above, but when we looked at the hymenium side, it had teeth! This piece was pretty thin, and the fan was about 2 inches wide.

Description

This fruiting of tiny whitish mushrooms was growing out of a rotting log. The cap surface was slimy and it was attached with a tiny off central stipe. The gills radiated from the stipe.
Found in scattered groups throughout the forest on logs. The largest specimen was about 2 cm wide. The smallest were under a cm.

Description

growing on wood on fallen trees. They were growing in about 1 inch balls and then clustering together to form the mass that covered about 3-4 inches. Inside of these were black and chalky.
