We've heard coyotes yipping, but saw our first one while driving home around 9:30 at night. It was medium sized (about as big as a Shiba Inu), and looked very healthy (and fluffy!). There's a new subdivision going up at the end of Nobel Drive — ground is razed, new roads are in, but only a few foundations have been poured. The coyote was trotting through the vacant lots. It saw us, stopped and looked, and then carried on. We followed it for a little while, and it seemed completely undeterred by our presence.
