What
Fountain Apple-Moss (Philonotis fontana)Observer
bduncDescription
Always found with it's feet wet, and such a pleasing green color.
What
Similar Pelochrista (Pelochrista similiana)Observer
bduncDescription
Not a very high quality pic but it's not yet been reported in the Adirondacks, so I've decided to post it. Beadle & Leckie's book lists it as Eucosma similiana.
What
Laugher Moth (Charadra deridens)Observer
bduncDescription
Poor focus, plus rather worn, but this is the first I've seen this one.
What
American Lappet Moth (Phyllodesma americana)Observer
bduncDescription
A really sorry specimen but the profile seems quite distinct. I'm posting it because this the first one I've seen (rated common in Peterson Field Guide to Moths) and I don't think it's been recorded in this project yet.
What
Dotted Sallow (Anathix ralla)Observer
bduncDescription
Rather worn but looks to be Anathix ralla.
What
Aspen Twoleaf Tier Moth (Enargia decolor)Observer
bduncDescription
Named 'Pale Enargia' in Beadle & Leckie, "Field Guide to Moths of Northeastern North America". Also http://mothphotographersgroup.msstate.edu/species.php?hodges=9549
What
American Pelecinid Wasp (Pelecinus polyturator)Observer
bduncDescription
I've only seen this wasp twice and both times it almost immediately moved from a good spot for a photograph to a poor spot. Still the picture shows the important features: extremely long abdomen and the swollen segment on the hind legs.

What
Common Kettlewort (Blasia pusilla)Observer
bduncDescription
Not very robust populations, scattered in damp spots along the Gooley Club Road to the Cedar River.
What
Eastern Panthea Moth (Panthea furcilla)Observer
bduncDescription
Much darker than what I usually see.
What
Oldwife Underwing (Catocala palaeogama)Observer
bduncDescription
Sort of chewed-up and the first time I've seen this species, so I'm a bit iffy on my ID.
