American Pelecinid Wasp (Pelecinus polyturator)Observer

I've only seen this wasp twice and both times it almost immediately moved from a good spot for a photograph to a poor spot. Still the picture shows the important features: extremely long abdomen and the swollen segment on the hind legs.
