Healthy looking, apparently solo, cautious but not skittish, headed East up Lake Mendota Dr as I and my large standard poodle came up on it as while heading out from Spring Ct toward the Lake Mendota Dr.

I stepped outside at 1am to let my dog out to pee; looked toward the street under my mulberry tree where I'd seen the 2 coyotes hanging out the previous night. The healthier of those 2 coyotes was right there again and we looked directly at each other. I did not want my dog to notice it, so I distracted him and encouraged him inside. I immediately went to look out the window to see if the coyote was still there. But, it seemed to have cleared off. I did not see the sicker coyote that had been with it the previous night.
There is furless scat in the road this week. A neighbor who had identified these as coyote scat (but who had not personally observed any coyotes) asked if I had seen any around. This reminded me to report these sick coyotes to you.

2 Coyotes in middle of road under street lamp in front of my house. Scratching obsessively. Bad mange. One in particular was extremely bare and wasn't putting weight on its left hind leg. Observed for 40 minutes (from inside my house). I chose not to haze because I felt unsure how sick they were and how that would affect their response to me. (I hazed a healthy one in my yard a little over a year ago.) After much scratching they managed to focus for a little while, eating the mulberries out of my front yard. They resumed scratching and finally went on down the road toward Lake Mendota Dr.
