Observations by casaosobay

Harvester ant colonies dominate the area probably because the area along Oso Bay and Oso Bay Minor had been Undeveloped many years. The ant trails extend hundreds of yards out from the colonies. Now with a surge in new home building along the shoreline and immediate area that will soon change. True for the ants and other animals. The Oso Bay Wetlands Preserve recently opened and some of the habitats hopefully will remain intact. Much is being lost by development in this area.
