Description

At first, when I smelled them, I thought I caught a hint of cinnamon... then I couldn't smell anything at all. The whole trail had a a pleasant, sweet odor (I think because of the decaying leaves around), so I couldn't discern whether or not there was a diurnal fragrance.

Description

Spotless lip. The perianth parts are bright yellow with darker borders. The second picture is unfortunately out of focus but was added to show roughly how tall the plants were.

Two close-by plants. The stem and seed capsules are yellow, but the flowers themselves are darker in coloration and have the characteristic spotted lips.

Description

Spotless variety? The first three photos are of the same plant; the others are of two nearby plants that have finished blooming and one whose buds died before they could open (we recently experienced a heatwave). This clump was found near a lone spotted C. maculata.
