Freshly excavated nest in sand dune at a location where I frequently find excavated nests. Canid and possibly otter tracks from nearby marsh. Unfortunately did not have my phone with me - no in situ pictures. Temperatures have been above 0. Was 1C at the time. Sent to OTCC. At least 3 individuals alive by 4 pm.

What appears to be 2 mating individuals. One also caught a fly. I actually have zero clue what these creatures are but their forelumbs remind me of mantids. It jas a piercing/sucking mouthpart, dorso-ventrally flattened greenandwhite body, and small black wings. Appears to be an ambush predator.
