Found in private lawn on Surprise Lily plant

Roosting in a nest on a tree on a public campus. I'm a bit concerned that it is close enough to the general public that students could potentially disturb it.

A squirrel inside a trash can jumped out and onto an ornamental tree as I walked by.

It vocalized quite angrily at me.

Rabbit near a parking garage a little before sunset.

Growing in shade near a creek and rock face.

A flock of Juncos (and a stray yellowish bird that I didn't get a good look at) were hanging out in a street near a small city park.

These cicadas were everywhere, the sheds decorated tree leaves like Christmas ornaments. Despite their prevalence, we didn't hear much in the way of calls during the evening.

Three deer (1 Doe, 2 Fawns) grazing along road by Petit Jean State Park. They crossed the road and were joined by a second adult doe.

Fern on seep about halfway through the Cedar Creek Trail at Petit Jean State Park. Sori present.

Seen around 11 am, scurrying around some small shrubs in a rocky forest (mixed deciduous/conifer). Found about halfway through Cedar Creek Trail. Individual was clearly a juvenile.

Salamander found crossing muddy gravel road at night. Tail was already injured and partially healed.

Forest habitat, on a steep incline. Tracks were pretty recent, but the snow turned to rain and was beginning to melt them. Human handprint for comparison.

At least two WTSP were calling, so I listened for a while. The first whistle in the audio was me trying to encourage them to call again.
