First record of beaver on our land in the 88 yrs it's been in the family,! About 1/8 mi from neighborhood beaver pond, it appears to have traveled by way of forest and driveway, across lawn and down into wet meadow, following the rill left by yesterday's rainstorm. May be scouting new territory, but unlikely to stay here since water drainage is mostly seasonal.
