Follow-up (02/16/2024): After I forwarded the photo of the skeleton to the landowner, she forwarded to me a photo of the intact dead snake (attached), with the following remark. "That snake skeleton was a coachwhip snake that someone killed and threw on my land. I did a blurb on facebook about It last summer."
