I saw this guy hiding in the grass at the parking lot. This was the best picture I got.

I saw a lot of these in one small area of grass.

I saw a few of these sitting in a tree, and the picture turned out better than I expected.

I saw a bunch of these little guys splashing in a puddle.

This was the only time I saw these guys that day.

There were about three of these guys flying around in one area, but the best picture, which happens to be this one, only had two in it.

This picture is meant to be of the cinnamon teal in the middle, not the other birds around it.

I'm pretty sure this is a stilt and not another bird because they had a stuffed one in the visitor's center. And I don't mean the kind you cuddle with at night.

I am not sure what these are. All I know is that they are in a big group.

I am not 100% sure it's a turkey vulture, but the only other species I can think of is a hawk, so a turkey vulture seems like a safe bet

I was pretty sure this is a blue jay, but some people helped me out by saying blue jays don't live in the western US. I might crop this picture and replace the current one later.

My brother told me this was a great egret, not a snowy egret. Otherwise I would have called this a snowy egret

I originally thought this was a Black-crowned Night-Heron, but my brother, who knows more about marsh birds than I do, told me it wasn't. However, he also said he forgot what it is called.

My brother saw this (dead) snake when he was walking the dog. I am not 100% sure it is a gopher snake, so feel free to suggest that it is something else.

Thank you to the people who said this was a night heron. I never would have guessed it was a heron (and I am not trying to be sarcastic, even though some people might think I am).

Thank you to the people who suggested it was a great blue heron. I was pretty sure it was a heron, but I wasn't sure what kind.

The big white thing in the center is what the picture is focused on, but my camera couldn't zoom in enough to get just it, so I ended up with a bunch of ducks in the picture.

I would like to thank the people who told me that there actually was a mallard category, because I forgot to search "mallard"
