Field Notes - It was hard to take a good photo. It is about 7 mm long. Seems to have a shield on the head. It looked like it was trying to clean its head after i touched it :)

Carpet Python (Morelia spilota)Observer

Field Notes - We were very excited to find this snake at my parents place until we realised that it was unfortunantely dead. It was quite beatiful and over 2 meters long. Not sure what the cause might have been.
We think it might be a carpet python, but would like to know for sure if it is because my parents get quite a lot of these around their place. Once we found about 4 meter long skin in the backyard.

Field Notes - Aproximately 5mm long, 3mm wide. Has a soft looking wite tail that bends upwards. Has 6 legs.

Field Notes - A very scary looking moth! About 7-8cm long. Very wide wing span, but i wasnt quick enough to measure.
Bad photos because i took them from inside the house on the window.
My google search came up as Rain Moth??

Field Notes - Pond weed? The whole pond is covered.
