Narrowleaf Wild Leek (Allium burdickii)Observer
emily247Description
Superficially looks and smells like a. tricoccum. However, bases of stems are not red. Leaves are broad down into the leaf litter. Common to have three leaves sprouting from each bulb (I’ve only ever seen two in tricoccum). Finally, these grew individually. Though the overall patch was dozens of square feet, the nearest plant of the same species would be several inches away - whereas tricoccum invariably as two or more plants sprouting in the same spot as the bulbs divide. I would guess the plant here reproduces mostly by seed rather than division. In a park; might have been restored from non-native or non-local stock.
