On the SWIM Water Infrastructure walking tour from Starlight Park. As it has smooth bark and planted by Parks, I thought it was likely sugar maple.

A candidate for fences

See honey bees on it. Was taught that if the name has japanese in it then it's non-native in NYC.

Outside of chapel

I think it was a beach plum that was likely cut down because it was too close to a sidewalk.

I would have planted this many years ago from bare root I got from the NYS Tree Nursery at Saratoga.

I transplanted this from Riverside South many many years ago. It was very small at the time. I do hope its groundsel tree.

This is a purchased grape but what's interesting about the bark is that it's the same as native wild grape, unlike porcelain Berry which is in the grape family.
