While walking my dog I spotted a large coyote (my guess s that it was at least 40 lbs.) with almost black fur in a neighbor's front yard. It trotted around the the back yard once it noticed that I'd spotted it.

I was walking my dog on Dream Ln. in Madison when we both spotted a very tall, lanky coyote of over 30 lbs. standing in the front yard of a house across the street. I shined my flashlight on the coyote to get a better look at it and it stared at me for 4-5 seconds then ran in the opposite direction (north on Dream Ln. It stopped in the front yard 3 houses up from where I first saw it and looked back at me. I shined the flashlight on it again and it ran north out of my sight.

On June 1, 2017 at 11:10 p.m., I opened my front door to take my dog for a walk. My dog immediately started barking and pulling toward my driveway. I then discovered a medium sized coyote (perhaps 30 lbs) on the sidewalk in front of my house. It was startled by my dog and trotted across the street and though the yard between my neighbors' houses. I walked my dog north up Dream Ln and turned west on Roanne Ln. When I got to the intersection of Roanne Ln and Dustin Ln I saw what I believe to be the same coyote trotting northwest across the road at the intersection of Roanne Ln and Marsh Rd. It was moving fairly quickly and disappeared out of view once it crossed to the west side of Marsh Rd. in front of the curling club.

I was walking my dog on Dream Ln., Madison, WI at 9:45 tonight and noticed a fairly large, healthy looking coyote watching us from the front yard directly across the street from where we were standing. I stopped to face the coyote and it made what looked like a playful hop straight up in the air, then started trotting toward us. Once it got to the sidewalk I raised my arms and yelled causing it to turn around and jog between the houses toward Splint Rd.

I saw two coyotes loping right down the middle of Marsh Rd. at the corner of Roanne Ln. in McFarland.
One of the coyotes was on the smaller side (approx. 20 lbs.) and the other coyote was very large (appeared to be at least 40 lbs.). As they passed me and my dog, they both slowed, briefly turned their heads to look at us, and continued on at a quicker pace.
They passed by the entrance to the curling club then turned and disappeared into the woods off the right side of Marsh Rd. Neither of the coyotes showed any sign of aggression.

Large, healthy coyote of approx. 35-40 lbs. Loped across the street near where I was walking with my dog. It stopped in a driveway and watched us for a about 5 seconds while we walked toward it. It then casually trotted up the driveway and disappeared behind the house into the back yard.
