About 3 small ones, not sure if they were intentionally planted in a raised bed of other ornamental flowers underneath a bell tower.

One of three Ascelpias fascicularis I planted at my son's preschool butterfly garden habitat. Hopefully it can compete with the native lawn of Agrostis pallens.

I've seen this one roaming around, couldn't get close enough to see if it was a female smelling out the milkweed I'm growing. But I did see it feed off of a buddleja bush and moringa tree flowers.

First one I could take a picture of in the garden; nectaring on the flowers of a rat's tail radish. Not sure if they can smell the milkweed nearby too!

Description

Fourth instar(?) caterpillar on Asclepias fascicularis. We planted 21 four-five inch seedlings in our native section of our garden of this type of milkweed and hope it can support the two caterpillars I've seen.
