Walked up to the front door of 111 Chestnut St, then quickly turned and darted down Joss Ct (westbound). Turned north on Highland Ave. Lost sight of it there.

Young red fox (still a very stringy tail) prowling about in a yard, then crossing Joss Ct a couple times. Lost sight of it as went south on Highland Ave and crossed to the west (I believe onto Van Hise Ave).

It was walking south (uphill) on the western sidewalk of Chestnut St. Was silhouetted by streetlight. It saw me, stopped, and stared for close to a minute. Shined my flashlight in its eyes, and it remained looking at me until I took a step towards it. It then headed west on Joss Ct.
Got a nice profile of it; based on ear shape, body shape, size and shape of tail, and "prancing" movement... definitely a fox.
