Found two of these pretty close to low tide in the sand just north of the Hotel del Coronado at about the level where a few waves were barely reaching. Not sure of the proper name, I've been told Renilla amethystina, your site's lookup yields Renilla mulleri, and the Web otherwise offers Renilla reniformis. The purple is the underside, the sandy/white is the top.
