Sorry about the bad pics, but this guy scared me as he “walked”, albeit in a somewhat jerky motion, towards me real quick. I was a bit shaky, ams I’m not a fan of big spiders.
Found on the water in a little section of rainforest near my home.

lightweight -few grams
whiteish opaque colouration
seem to be hollow one end (some had a small bit of sand collected in one end)
soft and flaccid
Sighted from Eden to Merimbula after a period of heavy rains and swell

We cut a section off the end of the sponge to reveal dense yellow insides.
