Description

Poor little thing must've gotten too cold during migration. I found it in the dock door of a grocery store. I relocated it to a warmplace outside so when it gets warmer in the next day or two it can resume its migration.l

Description

This is a new northeastern range extension for this species. Characters distinguishing Ch. crassimanus from its relative, Ch. russelli are
Red telson (tan in Ch. russelli)
Brown fingers (reddish in Ch. russelli)
Fingers not scalloped (scalloped in Ch. russelli).

Description

The Wet Canyon Talussnail is a candidate species under the Endangered Species Act. This specimen was found clinging to the underside of this rock and was not removed from its position nor disturbed. The rock was carefully returned to its position.
