American Woodcock (Scolopax minor)Observer

At least three woodcock were peenting near the wet woods along the Choptank River near Greensboro. They were each displaying with long looping flights as they twittered and whistled. I saw two fly past me this morning, getting a good look at their long bill in silhouette as they passed close by. These birds have been displaying for at least the past week. No photos.
