Description

On a steep slope, only patchy sunlight. Dark, rich soil with little litter or duff. Clear, cloudless day. Herb. Roughly 9 inches in height, with multiple stems. Odorless. Seems weedy.

Description

No notable odor. Herb. Very moist. Ankle height. Species were spread out across meadow. In full sun. Dark clay/muddy soil. Many people walk and bike around this area.

It has rained more than average this season. On the date of collection, it had been raining all week and had rained earlier that day.

Flowering bright yellow flowers. Plant 3-5 feet tall. Windy cloud-covered day. Many flowers blooming at once, and many buds. Odorless.

Description

Herb. Light purple inflorescence. Plants of species 20 to 60cm in height.
Plants received full sun.
Cloud cover and some wind.
Soil was very loose and fine, but it had rained a lot in the last week and month. Found alongside Empire Grade Road, about 10 feet from pavement, and experiences gusts of wind from passing cars. The surrounding area is open meadows, and further away, a neighborhood of houses.

Herb. Dark green foliage, plant 1.5 ft tall at its tallest with maybe 60-80 stalks like the specimens collected on this particular plant. Flowering orange flowers, mostly buds with some past flowering. Touching plant of same species on two sides.

Clear blue sky, very mild breeze, sunny and warm (61ºF), light fog over the Monterrey Bay, it rained a lot a few days ago. Bay trees are exposed fully to sun and grass field on Eastern side, edge of tree line.
