Description

This bamboo was found in Leipers Fork, TN. I am not sure of the species but I am pretty sure it is the "clumping" variety meaning it grows and thrives only in groups. It is not as invasive as the "running" varieties of bamboo. Many people discourage planting bamboo because it grows so fast and can easily spread so if you would like to plant and enjoy bamboo, do it responsibly and research how to properly contain the species you plant. Or, get a Panda Bear and they will eat it for you. :)

I think this may be American Native bamboo or Green Grove bamboo??
