Found under an overpass, under a small log with a little moisture in a dried up creekbed during a bad drought. Only adequate piece of surface cover with remaining moisture for several yards. Found along with about 4 other newts, a young Eastern Narrow-mouthed Toad, and a severely malnourished Southern Copperhead.
