Description

After posting the pictures of the dragonfly, some dragonfly experts came by and explained what was actually going on. I came by a dragonfly half emerged from the ground and assumed it was emerging from being a larvae. After it got out, a spider came out of the hole which I thought was extremely odd and assumed it was a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Well I’m pretty sure I was wrong. They suggested this was the burrow of a trapdoor spider and it had pulled in the dragonfly. So I saved a dragonfly and starved a spider. Winners and losers?

Was able to see a dragon fly emerge today. After it had emerged, I dug up the cocoon (or whatever it’s called) and there was a spider inside. Very odd, not sure if there’s a symbiotic relationship or something.
