Eastern Phoebe (Sayornis phoebe)Observer

There are 5 hatchlings, although not all visible in this picture. Two adults regularly visit the nest.
This nest is underneath an overhang of the house. In previous years, the phoebes nested on top of the globe of a porch light, with the nest sometimes sliding off the smooth glass surface. Last winter, I built a small wooden platform for them immediately above the porch light. They seem to be doing well so far this year.
