Long-bodied Cellar Spider Pholcus phalangioides

Observer

pohanginapete

Date

Description

The prey appears to be a whitetail spider (Lampona sp. probably murina), but I can't get a good enough view without disturbing the Pholcus. I'll see if enough's left to identify unequivocally after the remains have been abandoned.
UPDATE: The prey is definitely a whitetail. The Pholcus finished feeding this morning (8 March) and cut the whitetail loose; I managed to extract it from the silk and have added two photographs, one showing a 100% crop of the palps.
