I found about 12 of these bats roosting in the bathroom of an abandoned building. There was another lone individual in a well nearby.

Jamaican Fruit-eating Bat Artibeus jamaicensis

Description

The top of the jatata (Geonoma deversa) roof of this unfinished cabin at Esmeralda EcoResort contains a small colony of what I suspect to be Jamaican Fruit-eating Bats. This sunday I found four or five of the hiding in the iron roof top. I couldn't get any closer, nor did I have a better flashlight, to improve the pictures, and I'm not too sure about the identification, so any help would be appreciated

Description

This solitary bat was hanging from the roof of the boat house at Esmeralda EcoResort. Although the quality of the picture makes identification difficult, I suspect it is a member of the colony living in the unfinished cabin, I've reported earlier (I'll post some new pictures later)
