Eastern Copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix)Observer
savage_tristanDescription
This copperhead was in my shed. It had to be exterminated for the betterment of my property but it was still a beautiful creature. My mother has an intense hatred for anything that slithers so this animal did not survive. This is officially the second fairly large copperhead my mother has killed on the property. It was about 2 1/2 to 3 feet in length.

Japanese Beetle (Popillia japonica)Observer
savage_tristanDescription
The Japanese Beetle starts out as a cluster of eggs. Then it advances to the larva stage which is where I encountered this insect. Next, they advance to the pupa stage followed by the beetle stage. The beetle stage is the adult stage of this insect. In Japan, it is controlled by natural predators but it is rampant in the United States eating and destroying many species of plants. I found this particular specimen underneath of a bus tire.
