Pretty sure these are “longhorn bees” but I wasn’t able to find them on here. Is there another name they go by? Several individuals, and many more on similar flowers. In the evening several would gather on a flower and sleep.

Very friendly and curious. Kept looking up at my phone and following me around. Light grayish brown on top, semi translucent legs. Pinkish mouth parts, and a white and black stripe across the face. Their abdomen has two longitudinal stripes with white dots in the middle. ~1cm total length.

Two nests, both on low stubs that haven’t sprouted leaves yet. There were a few dead caterpillars in the nest. The shrub next to them was covered in large caterpillars all eating. Average length ~1.5 in.
