I have these little flies in my apartment, I suspect them to be the source of all the irritated itching bites on my body. Some have landed in this sticky trap but I have yet been able to identify them. If anyone has any idea please let me know, I don’t know where they are coming from.

This organism was located on a large tree and was vibrant green. This fungi was all over this tree and can typically be found all through out the United States and some other parts of North America. The fungi was no more than millimeters in width and had various length sizes all along the tree.

This organism is a apart of the squirrel family. The picture is a bit blurry but this animal was perched up in a tree. The squirrel was about 3/4 a foot in length and was a brown/tan color with a long fluffy tail.

I know the pictures are a bit blurry, but I would identify this organism from Genus Pavo solely because of the colored necks. These peacocks are about two feet in length and have colorful necks. These birds travel in groups and appear to be female because of the lack of vibrant long tail feathers.

Tiger Crane Flies (Genus Nephrotoma)Observer

This organism was found in the bushes near a soccer field. There were two hooked together. Each with long wings, brown thin bodies about an inch in length, and very long black legs which attributes this bug to the Family Tipulidae. I assume they are connected because they are mating, but Im not entirely sure.

African Asparagus (Asparagus aethiopicus)Observer

This organism has vibrant green small thin leaves and red berries spread out throughout the plant which connects it to the Subfamily Myrsinoideae. If my identification is correct then this species is invasive to Florida. This plant takes up a lot of space in the location near a soccer field, about a few feet in length. Majority of the berries seem to have fallen off as well.

Florida Carpenter Ant (Camponotus floridanus)Observer

Carpenter ants are no more than a few centimeters in length and can be found on trees or wooden structures. I found a few of these ants on thin branches in a neighborhood park. Their bodies were a dark red/brown and looked almost furry. AntWiki website was able to help explain that these ants hollow out trees to build nests and are found all throughout the USA, especially in Florida.

This organism is about two feet tall with a bright orange/yellow beak. It has white feathers and yellow eyes which was associated with the subfamily Ardeinae. These bird are located all throughout Southern Florida and hunt in ponds or short grass for food.

This cute flower was very small and found in a dried patch of grassy area. It’s vibrant white/yellow and about the length of an inch. Known as Galinsogas, these are located everywhere throughout Florida & are also considered weeds. Typically seen in the spring and summer seasons.

Guinea Paper Wasp (Polistes exclamans)Observer

I located this wasp at a nearby Consigment store in Valrico Florida. It is about an inch in length and has long black wings the size of its torso. It was hard to determine the exact name but it best resembles a Dark Paper Wasp (Polistes Fuscatus). It also has vibrant yellow/red/black colors which was really cool to see up close. These wasps are typically located towards the east of the United States & live in mild/humid temperatures.
