Quite common on riverine forest understory.
Not a pest, I'd say, but if you knock some leafy branches over a net there's always a good chance of catching two or three of 'em.
Just difficult to photograph because they scurry around incessantly once dislodged.

African Goshawk.
One of two juveniles produced by a regular breeding pair. Photo on 2019/01/09 and audio 2019/01/10 of the same bird.
The plaintive call, I presume, is its way of mooching from its parents.

Description

Seen early morning outside my office front door, constricting a large gecko that, in turn, had a grip on the snake. Fortunately for the snake the gecko only had hold of a skin flap at the snake's throat, narrowly missing its trachea.
I placed an inverted basket over the pair so that the drama could play out undisturbed by foot traffic.
Later, when I removed the basket it was evident that the snake has prevailed. Only sign of the gecko was a lump in the snake.

Came rappelling down from the thatch roof overhang.

At first, it played dead (last two pictures), but then it realised it was just a photo shoot and it posed quite nicely, showing off its dapper outfit.
