Description

Bird was entangled in fishing line. The fishing hook with bait was still attached to the line, but fortunately did not appear to have punctured the bird. The line was approximately 4 feet long and wrapped around both wings. Bird was captured, line was cut, and bird was released within 4 minutes.

Found in stagnant freshwater retention pond on mosquito fern. Approx. 400 micrometers in length.
