I am currently employed at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh, North Carolina as Curator of the Living Conservatory. This exhibit recreates a Central American dry tropical forest and houses New world exotic butterflies, a two-toed sloth, ornate wood turtles, a stuart's milk snake, a tarantula, and over 60 species of tropical plants. I am responsible for the daily husbandry and upkeep of all animals and plants that reside in the Conservatory. I also maintain two colonies of Acacia ants originally collected in Belize.
My general interests include New World plant and animal fauna of both native and tropical origins.
