I am a Ph.D and retired. I serve as the Volunteer coordinator at the National Butterfly Center in Mission Texas where my wife, Lena and I also serve as volunteer gardeners. I have been active in establishing milkweed beds there and starting a Zizotes Milkweed bed in the hopes of expanding the availability of their seeds.
I am what is known as a Winter Texan traveling back and forth between Mission Texas and Chesapeake Va. In Chesapeake Va I have established a test bed of Zizotes Milkweed where I have gathered seeds who's lineage traces back to the Mission Texas area.
