I have a background in molecular genetics (BS), microbiology (MS) and virology (PhD), but I consider my self a naturalist. For over 40 years I photographed hummingbirds and in 2008 created the Mesenia-Paramillo nature reserve. I have dedicated the last 12 years to documenting the biodiversity of this area, photographing insects, plants, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.
