While my background is in agricultural science I have a particular interest in integrated vegetation management and how the tools available to manage invasive vegetation - including both introduced and native species - can be used in adaptive natural resource management programs to maintain vulnerable species and increase diversity.

I am actively involved in the golden shouldered parrot project in Cape York and in a project to maintain spotted tailed quoll habitat and improve species diversity on private property on the northern New England Tableland.

I am an enthusiastic bushwalker and kayaker and been fortunate enough in semi-retirement to indulge those passions and to rediscover an old passion for mountaineering in Peru.
