I love wildlife. I am extremely concerned about the amount of road mortality that is occurring along roads that run through wetlands. I've watched this happen as a result of sprawl in Toronto then Richmond Hill and now in the Guelph/Puslinch area. I am hoping the MTO, cities, townships and counties will take some responsibility to ensure proper ecopassages / fencing is installed along these roads. Some roads like Wellington County Road 35 is a death zone for wildlife and should be closed during the spring and fall until mitigating measures are installed. It is unacceptable to continue to ignore these issues regarding wildlife road mortality.
