Hi! I'm a bird bum and general all-around nature kid. I'm all the way through an associate degree in Wildlife Management and 2/3 of the way through a bachelor's in the same thing, and hope to go on to get my master's in the future. In between random field tech jobs I work for natural area parks in Lexington, KY. Anything bird-related is bound to catch my attention, but I'm especially interested in avian response to oil and natural gas extraction (which is of course a big deal right now!). When I'm not looking at birds I'm trying desperately to learn my wildflowers and aquatic macroinvertebrates. I have occasionally been known to look at a tree as well. I'm here on iNaturalist to keep my own photos/observations all neatly together but most of all to learn from everyone else!
