Hello! My name is Betsy Marsh and I love nature and exploring wild spaces.

After graduating from UT Austin, I taught school in Honduras and then headed to the University of Michigan School of Natural Resources. As a program coordinator, consultant, and editor for various non-profit organizations, I had the privilege to work with many passionate indigenous, environmental, and human rights advocates from the U.S. and Latin America. For three years, I also had the joy of developing the GO Wild environmental education program for the City of Grapevine.

Native Texas plants stole my heart years ago and I have been transforming turf into native gardens for more than a decade. I enjoy being a Tarrant County Master Gardener and a member of the Grapevine Garden Club. As a proud mom of three, I have also worked with a fabulous team of volunteers and staff at Grapevine Elementary to create environmental education programs and a beautiful school garden.

I love iNaturalist because it wakes folks up to the incredible diversity of life around us. It is great to be a part of the iNat community and learn from all the super smart naturalists here and around the globe. Please send me a message if you have a common interest!
