Currently a graduate student at Stephen F. Austin State University investigating forest management as a driver of community assembly in upland shortleaf pine ecosystems. My research focuses on understanding the mechanisms that alter the structure and function of ecological communities, using snakes as a model organism to understand these processes. Specifically, my research examines food-web structure and community organization in the context of the functional traits of these consumers.
