I have pretty much always loved playing in the woods. Lately I've finally been learning what it all is, and it has been wonderful to be able to look around and identify so much of what I see. I guess I'm trying to learn just about anything, but am more interested in critters bigger than insects. Not particularly birds, but they've been fun to photograph.

I think one of the more useful things you can do to help, is to review observations that need ID in your county. If using the website, go to https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/identify and enter your county in the "Place" field. Be sure to click the "Reviewed" box (or type "r"), so it doesn't show them to you over again.

At the moment, I'm trying to keep up with observations that need ID in my state. I went through all of the "unknown" observations in my state. I'm trying to spend some time going through all observations, including research grade, in random order (filtered to the current month).

I've been having lots of fun with nodding trilliums: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/proud-of-my-nodding-trillium-observations/12598
