My name is William Davis.

I am an aspiring fungal biologist with a focus on taxonomy/systematics but I love venturing into ecology and evolution. My long term goals are to increase our knowledge of the natural history of chytrids, zygomycetes, and the fungus-impersonating oomycetes.

Currently, I am working with the USDA to build a molecular and morphological database to help detect, identify, monitor, and manage outbreaks of downy mildews on cereals, grains, and grasses.

We could use your help! If you are interested in helping, check out how here: https://www.allthedownymildews.com
