I am a professional biologist. My education includes a B.S. in Biology from the University of Miami, M.S. in Zoology from Auburn University, and M.S. in Wildlife Management from Frostburg State University. I am a Wildlife Biologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service currently stationed at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. My professional work life includes stints for the Maryland DNR ( 4 years); U.S. Army at Ft. Jackson, SC (civilian Endangered Species Biologist) (6 years), and on 3 different refuges for about 21 years (Mackay Island and Currituck in NC, Bon Secour in south Alabama, and Wheeler in north Alabama). I have been a naturalist at heart ever since an amateur naturalist and neighbor introduced me to nature at about the age of 4 or 5 (Was I born a naturalist?). Being a semi-pro photographer with an interest in capturing images of the great outdoors helps me observe it very closely.
