I began in April 2015 developing a small but empty backyard to have flowers and then attracting birds, bee, and butterflies - especially monarchs! I have several birds - blue jays, northern cardinals, house finches, and chickadees feasting daily on black hull sunflower seeds, peanuts, suet, and mealworms. Hoping my host plants will also attract swallowtails and others since monarchs have been frequent visitors laying eggs. Bees are also so important that the concentration on native pollinator friendly plants will make my home a haven for "BBB" Birds-Bees-Butterflies!!!
