I am a member of local, regional, and global ecological communities and I seek to be a considerate citizen. My interests encompass forest ecosystems and any species that can be found within, though I am most experienced identifying trees, shrubs, and understory plants; additionally, I identify plant communities using the MN DNR's Ecological Classification System. I am the Forest Manager at the Cloquet Forestry Center, the University of Minnesota's educational, research, and experimental forest. As a forest manager, my goal is to sustain a wide variety of structural and successional conditions on the landscape through active, sustainable, objective-driven management.
