La Hesperia is a cloud forest nature reserve located in the western range of the Andes at an altitude of 1100 – 2040 meters above sea level. The reserve resides in the province of Pichincha, Ecuador. With an area of 814 hectares, it is located in the centre of the Rio Toachi-Chiriboga IBA (Important Bird Area, declared by Bird Life International and Conservation International) and is part of two important bioregions: The Tropical Andes and the Chocó-Darien – Western Ecuador, considered within the top five biodiversity hotspots on earth.

La Hesperia es una reserva natural del bosque nublado ubicada en la cordillera occidental de los Andes en una altitud de 1100-2040 metros al nivel del mar. La reserva se reside en la provincia de Pichincha, Ecuador. Con un área de 814 hectáreas, se ubica al centro del Área Aviara Importante (Important Bird Area, declarada por BirdLife International y Conservation International) y forma parte de dos bio-regiones importantes: Los Andes tropicales y el Chocó-Darien—Ecuador occidental, consideradas dentro de los cinco máximos hotspots de biodiversidad del planeta.
