Originally from rural upstate NY, where many a day was spent out in nature learning about plants and animals and rocks. Moved to OKC to work with apes at the OKC Zoo. Undergraduate field coursework in dendrology, entomology (aquatic and terrestrial), mammalogy, and ornithology. Dabbled in work with Collembola and Saturniidae for undergraduate projects. Master's thesis on Little Brown Bats. I'm a bit of a generalist and love to try and ID anything and everything.
